It’s all too easy to toss around the word “partner” in casual conversation — but at Special Spectators we take the concept of partnership to heart. In fact, partnership is the beating, passionate heart of absolutely everything we do. We simply would not be where we are today — ten years after our very first event — without our partners. And, to us, partnership is not just one thing. It represents hands-on, active commitment to the countless incredible memories and experiences that are the core of our mission.

Doing what we have already done for 8,300 seriously ill children and parents since 2002 could not be achieved alone. It takes teamwork, collaboration, contribution and the constant sharing and mobilization of ideas big and small — to get the proud work done, time and time again.

Every handshake with a parent or hug with a child; every hospital who joins our cause and every school or coach who jumps on board; every fan, sponsor or donor who supports and celebrates what we do — all these things roll up and amount to an incredible life-size version of partnership. It makes us who we are, and able to do what we do.

Parents often call our game days the best day in their child’s life. Coaches and players are ecstatic to play a part. Everyone who joins our mission — in whatever way they can — is blown away by their experience.
